Antonio "Toño" Aguilar, born José Pascual Antonio Aguilar Márquez Barraza, was a Mexican singer with a renaissance career. He is considered the Godfather of Banda Music, with over 150 albums full of songs from your grandparent’s childhood. You may have seen him on the silver screen where he’s acted in over 120 movies including two portrayals of Pancho Villa.

His most notable songs are "Un Puño de Tierra", "El Hijo Desobediente", and "Triste Recuerdo". Vicente Fernández has been noted to say that it was "Antonio (who) opened the doors of the United States and Latin America for us."
His sons, Antonio Aguilar Jr and Pepe Aguilar, also followed him in his footsteps and became sensational icons in their own right as well.
