On the afternoon of 4 August 2020, two explosions occurred at the port of the city of Beirut, the capital of Lebanon. The second explosion was extremely powerful, and caused at least 177 deaths, 6,000 injuries, and US$10–15 billion in property damage, leaving an estimated 300,000 people homeless.
Many people have already taken great initiatives to donate blood, time, resources, and raise awareness to help the many displaced people of Beirut.
With that, let’s try to do our part:
I’ve started a small series of poster (24 inches by 36 inches) portraits of legendary Lebanese musicians for sale with 100% of the profits to go to the Lebanese Red Cross in relief.
Please buy the set, buy one, buy none but share with your friends.
I included a short excerpt and YouTube clip of each singer. They’re awesome, check ’em out, add them to your playlist. If you already have them, listen to them again!
If you don’t care for poster illustrations, that’s cool too, you can go ahead and visit their online donation portal.
I know it’s a short timeline, but the more you share, the more chances we have of people participating. The drive won’t end by September, but that’s when I plan on making the first donation on behalf of all you awesome people. I’ll send out a newsletter updating you on the results.
p.s. I disabled the frame options because I haven’t been able to get a better deal from my current vendor, but feel free to check out more economic frame options from Amazon.
